Tab Trade - Is It Worth Opening an Account

The Broker — The Short Version

TabTrade.com went live in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

That last detail is relevant. It says the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. It is better than a random name you cannot trace.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.

Market coverage: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is not narrow.

The Software

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. Many pick one platform. Getting both matters. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you know MetaTrader before, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.

FIX API is offered for algo traders but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That should make the platform set once it is live.

Costs

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.

Infrastructure

This is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.

Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. The point is the setup is serious. That says what kind of broker this is.

Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Few brokers in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.

The FSRA Question

Now, the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. But be part of how you think about it.

What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off works is your call.

The Bonus

TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You fund your account, the broker credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you deposit.

The complete breakdown, including regulation, withdrawals, here pricing, and the bonus more info terms, is at Trade The Day.
